Officials from the Secretariat of the House of Representatives have joined in a sea turtle preservation campaign in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province to honor HM the King. Mrs. Pannipa Sermsri, legal advisor at the Secretariat of the House of Representatives, has led a team of officials and staffers in the release of 40 sea turtles on Koh Talu in Prachuap Khiri Khan to mark the 88th birthday anniversary of HM the King on December 5th 2015.
The release was also intended to help preserve the species and maintain the balance of the marine ecological system. Officials who participated in the campaign also joined in the presentation of a sea rehabilitation program named as the the Plant Genetic Conservation Project, a Royal initiative of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn”, the Royal Thai Navy with other State and private agencies. The Secretariat has also presented 300,000 THB to the Plant Genetic Conservation Project to help in the implementation of various initiatives.
