Hua Hin, March 2015 – Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa would like to announce the appointment of its new Executive Chef Leonard Faust who will be leading the culinary department of the resort with its 5 restaurants and bars plus their extensive meeting and banquet facilities including the new “The Chandelier” Ballroom. Chef Leonard, an Australian national who has been living in Thailand for the past nine years, had been previously Executive Chef at Amari Ocean Pattaya and leading its famous Mantra Restaurant & Bar, arguably the best dining establishment in the eastern seaboard. He also held kitchen management positions at the Majestic Grande Bangkok, with Marriott Hotels Thailand and the Paradise Boutique Beach Resort in Phang Nga. Previous to this, Chef Leonard trained at some of Sydney’s most prestigious culinary attractions, such as Ravesis on Bondi and The Dolphin on Crown.
Throughout his career Chef Leonard Faust has gained his culinary knowledge both from hotel and restaurant experience, specializing in themed dinners, coffee breaks and events, fine dining and in M.I.C.E. “I believe in creating food from raw materials. Breads, jams, stocks, soups, sauces and anything available at my reach, especially locally sourced products are my life in the kitchen. I am also a firm believer in delivering something that our customers may want tomorrow today” says Chef Leonard.
