After a lengthy process, protocols and machinations between the governments of Sweden and Thailand were finally completed on the 4th April B.E. 2555 (2012) when His Excellency Mr. Klas Molin, the Swedish Ambassador to Thailand, with the royal endorsements of the kings of Thailand and Sweden, officially installed Khun Victor Sukseree, General Manager of Dusit Thani Hua Hin, as Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Sweden in Phetchaburi. A Consulate Office based at Dusit Thani Hua Hin will be located near to the hotel’s Royal Thai Restaurant, Ban Benjarong, and it is anticipated to be open for consular services from June, with the official opening provisionally slated for September.
