

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)’s reality contest,the Thailand Extreme Makeover, recently returned for itssecond year and is now underway with the three finalistscurrently undergoing beauty procedures performed bysome of Thailand’s best known surgeons and beauticians.The contest is aimed at promoting the kingdom as aninternational centre for medical tourism.Mrs. Juthaporn Rerngronasa, TAT Deputy Governor forInternational Marketing – Europe, Africa, Middle Eastand Americas (sixth from right) presided over the pressconference announcing the three finalists for the ThailandExtreme Makeover Season 2.
The contest is open to men and women between 20 and45 years of age, and the three finalists get the chanceto win a cash prize as well as an all-over surgical beautytransformation. They will also be treated to an all-expensespaidtrip to some of Thailand’s best resorts.Mrs. Juthaporn Rerngronasa, TAT Deputy Governor forInternational Marketing (Europe, Africa, Middle East andAmericas) said, “In its first year, the Thailand ExtremeMakeover was a huge success and brought Thailand’sworld-class cosmetic treatments and surgical proceduresinternational acclaim. The contest highlights the skills ofour doctors and beauticians in transforming people’s looksand lives. It is also a showcase for some of the beautifuldestinations people can enjoy after coming here fortreatments or recuperating.
”Applicants applied from 1 March – 31 May, 2015, and havenow been narrowed down to three finalists – Ms. Chen Yuhan(30) from China, Mrs. Novi Meyliani (37) from Indonesia,and Ms. Darleen Cubas (34) from the USA who all receivedround-trip flights to Thailand to start their all-over surgicalbeauty transformation from 15 August – 5 September, 2015.All three finalists have voiced their confidence and optimismthat the Thailand Extreme Makeover would give them alifetime beauty transformation as well as the chance toexperience first-hand the latest technologies in cosmetictreatments and surgical procedures, including hyperbaric,TR Lift, holistic therapies, and spa treatments, provided bysome of Thailand’s top surgical and aesthetics providers inThailand, such as, Yanhee Hospital, Dr. Orawan Holistic Anti-Aging Institute, and Slim Up Center.
