The ‘InterContinental -B. Grimm Asian Beach Polo Championship 2015’ was held on Saturday 25th April 2015. Now in its sixth year in Thailand, this is Asia’s only beach polo event where top international polo players compete for Princess Pa Cup. The matches raised funds for the ‘Kamlangjai Project’, initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha to provide support to help rehabilitate female prisoners after their release.
The matches took place at the beachfront of the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort. Four professional polo teams from India, Hong Kong, Macau and the host Thai teams took part in the tournament. Besides the exciting polo match, spectators had the chance to immerse themselves in a variety of activities including a fashion show on horseback, local horses racing, a kid’s polo match and games for prizes. This year’s party throughout the evening was a fitting climax with the theme of ‘The Summer Wind’. Congratulations to the winners – Team Thailand.
