Centara Grand Resort & Villas celebrating it´s rebranding
& Hua Hin Vintage Car Parade 2011 for charity
Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin celebratet its rebranding from Sofitel Centara Grand Resort & Villas Hua Hin by organising the 9th Hua Hin Vintage Car Parade 2011. The resort teamed up with Hua Hin Hotelier’s Club and Vintage Car Club of Thailand with the support of Tourism Authority of Thailand and Hua Hin Municipality for this premier event, was held from 16th – 18th December 2011.
The three-day rally has become regarded as one of Thailand’s most colourful events, bringing together the country’s passionate collectors for a stunning display of vintage cars. The aim of the rally is to raise awareness of Hua Hin as a destination, increase product and brand loyalty to communities in Thailand and abroad, and give the public a chance to view the superb vintage cars. The rally also marks the auspicious occasion of the 84th Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The revenue generated from organising this event after deducted expenses will be donated to Chaipattana Foundation. Initiated by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Chaipattana Foundation is renowned for projects dedicated to improving quality of life and self-reliance.
The Hua Hin Vintage Car Parade features a fun-filled programme of activities and fine dining, most of which will take place at Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin, and at Hua Hin tourist attractions. The parade will also feature period costumes, an enticing long buffet and a fabulous gala dinner.
Participants and media assembled at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok on Friday 16th December 2011 and left the hotel to embark on a 225-kilometre journey to the splendid colonial-style resort of Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin.
En-route, there were stops at Phetchburi province for sightseeing and lunch. Before arriving at Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin, the parade visited the Hua Hin Floating Market.
Now in its 9th year, the Vintage Car Paradel featured a wonderful welcome dinner at Hua Hin Market Village with a long buffet of 50 exquisite dishes cooked by gifted chefs from the five-star member hotels of the Hua Hin Hotelier’s Club. Live entertainment l complimented the evening’s dining. The dinner was also open to the public at Baht 284 net per person.
The Public could enjoy a ride in a rare vintage car for Baht 250 per trip, and the revenue from this activity was donated to Chaipattana Foundation. Then, the Vintage Car Parade toured Hua Hin. All participants dressed up in a period costume.
After returning to the hotel, participants joined a cocktail reception in the garden before a gala dinner, with a gourmet buffet, sparkling entertainment, charity auctions, lucky draws with chances to win room packages to stay at various Centara Hotels & Resorts and a period costume competition.
