Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, in collaboration with Connect3e, a non-profit Karen refugees’ charity organization, and MondoVino Hua Hin, staged a special “Connect3e Charity Dinner – A night of inspiration at Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa” on February.
In the second year of this event, the charity dinner highlighted a project carried out by Connect3e on embracing, educating and empowering Karen refugees who have fled Burma and now live in Thailand along the Thai/Burma border. “The aim of the charity dinner was to raise funds for disadvantaged people who live in our community. Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa supported and hosted this event to strengthen our care for
community projects by following Starwood’s 4 core pillars, which are “Care for Guests, Care for Associates, Care for Business and Care for Community.” said Khanitha Singtothong, Director of Rooms at Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa.The event was attended by expatriates who live in Hua Hin and Cha-Am including resort guests and media partners, such as Cleo Magazine, Bigchilli Magazine, Anywhere Magazine, True 73 – Travel Report/Sawasdee Thailand and TGN network – Smile Thailand program, to name but a few.
The evening was highlighted by welcome drinks, canapés, live music and special performances by Karen refugee children, followed by an ever sumptuous Asian buffet dinner at the Luna Lanai lawn. Drinks were free-flow and unlimited.Connect3e exists to engage injustice and extend compassion so that people may experience hope.
