The month of May ended with the sweet sound of Jazz with the annual Jazz Festival in Hua Hin a roaring success.
Also the SKAL International dinner at the Anantara Resort Hua Hin on 16th May was very successful with a record number of attendees. The Who’sWho of tourism and hospitality were in attendance. The main speaker was the Mayor of Hua Hin who spoke about theinfrastructure and development plans he has for Hua Hin. He also answered many questions from the participants. The event ended with a raffle withmany generous companies donating prizes towards the raffle. Donations were received from theAmari Hua Hin, Mondo Vino, Bangkok Hospital, Chiva-som, G Hua Hin, Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, HyattRegency Hua Hin and Bourbon Street Restaurant. All the proceeds from the raffle will go towards a mutually agreed charity.
The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hinwas in celebration mode on the 18thMay,celebrating their 4th annual Club Officer Installation Dinner with great success at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin.
Two big future news items forthe Regal Thailand Group in June is the opening of our new Cha – Am offices(plural not being a mistake)in the first week of June. We are also hosting a massive Full moon party at Amari Hua Hin on 22ndJune 2013.
Our new officesin Cha-Am will be open by the time this newspaper reaches your hands. The office is located centrally on the main road Narathip Road. The offices are located alongsideThe Baguette Cha – Am with plenty of parking space and conveniently smack in the middle of town. There will be two offices, Cha – Am Properties dealing in rentals and sales of properties, houses and condos and finally a dedicated office for our Cha – Am Today Newspaper. In Hua Hin and Cha-Am the majority of foreigners are Scandinavians. We all know how the Scandinavians love their Midsummer’s Evecelebrations. Midsummer’s Eve in “Scandi-lands” is a time when the night is usually bathed in sunlight all night long. Midsummer’s Eve is a time to dance, drink, eat and enjoy the rare good weather.
Weather tends not to be a problem for us in Thailand but in the spirit of Midsummer Eve we are planning a massive full moon party. Not only does it fall on Midsummer’s Eve but also on the night that the biggest full moon of the year graces Earth and our fair city.
We have lined up the elegant Khun Emmy who will present the latest collection of Vayla summer clothes in a cat walk show. Khun Emmy designs sexy exquisite handcrafted kaftans that can be used both for beach and day / night wear. Thailand’s Top model Nikita will present her new swimwear collection. “Lola” and even if you are not interested in swimwear do make sure to meet this stunning woman as she mingles at the party ;). Additional DJ Dan Buri formerly from Bed Super Club will be the DJ and I heard rumours famous singerJolanda will be in attendance. Be there or be square!

Tickets: are sold at Hua Hin Today office at 58 Naresdamri Road (opposite Fishing Pier and Brasserie Paris) until 22ndJune 2pm or you can purchase your tickets at the door on the evening. Please note tickets are limited, so make sure to purchase them early.
