Drivers of public buses and taxis are now invited to English language training on every Tuesday and Friday in July and on the 11th and 16th August. This training will be conducted by university students and foreign teachers.
According to the Hua Hin Mayor Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul, many Thai and foreign tourists visit Hua Hin every year because they are attracted to the charm this beachfront city has to offer. In 2015, Thailand will become a member of the ASEAN Community and English communication will be a must for service providers, particularly drivers of public vehicles. If the people use English fluently, they will be able to give useful and correct information to tourists. Doing so will impress them and make them come back to Thailand again.
