The Prachuap Khirikhan Provincial Office, in collaboration with the Hua Hin District Office together with public and private organizations has organised Hua Hin Retro 2013.
This is an annual event aiming to foster and cherish the unique local tradition and culture of Hua Hin as well as to promote the City’s tourism and to raise funds to support the administrative work of the Hua Hin district.
A special highlight of the Event this year was the celebration of Their Majesties’ royal wedding anniversary on 28th April. Taking place from 26th April to 5 May at the Queen Sirikit Memorial Park, the Event featured retro Thai costumes and the sale of OTOP goods and local products of Prachuap Khirikhan. Additionally there were performances by local students and famous Thai artists.
On 28th April there was a parade to celebrate Their Majesties’ royal wedding anniversary together with a ceremony to pay tribute to Their Majesties in the evening.
Other highlights included retro ballroom dancing on 3rd May and a beauty pageant of over 50 beautiful local Hua Hin ladies on 5th May. More information on this event can be obtained at the Hua Hin District Office tel. 032 516 256 ext. 14.
