Several hundreds of ancient horseshoes were discovered inside a cave in Khao Sam Roi Yot national park in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park officials said the ancient horseshoes, numbering about 300 and each weighing 300-400 grams were found in the cave in Kho Rom islet in the area of the Khao Sam Roi Yot national park.
Park officials are seeking cooperation from the Fine Arts Department to help in identify the ancient horseshoes and to determine their age. Officials have banned outsiders from entering the cave until the ancient objects were proved by experts. Until now it is unknown where these old horseshoes were from and from which era they belong.
