The Live and Invest Overseas website has ranked Hua Hin as amongst the world’s best places to retire due to the low cost of living and beautiful beaches.
The website recently revealed its first annual “retire overseas” index based on specific criteria.
For this First Annual Retire Overseas Index, the following 12 factors were considered:
- Climate
- Cost of Living
- English Spoken
- Entertainment
- Environmental Conditions
- Existing Expat Community
- Health Care
- Infrastructure
- Real Estate
- Residency Options
- Safety
- Taxes
The index considered these 12 factors for each of the destinations considered. The top 21 were considered as the best options where to think about launching a new and exciting, exotic and affordable life overseas.
Hua Hin was included in a list of the best 21 with other cities including Abruzzo in Italy, Ambergris Caye and Cayo in Belize, Boquete in Panama and Cebu in the Philippines.
Factors relating to the appeal of Hua Hin included the low cost of living, the cost of insurance and medical service all being not too expensive. Additionally Hua Hin was included because of the precious beaches.
