The Thai government has unveiled a new slogan which it hopes will help to attract even more tourists to Thailand as part of its post pandemic recovery.
The new slogan: “Visit Thailand 2022, Now Even More Amazing Thailand Has It All” has been approved by the Centre for Economic Situation Administration and the Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.
The unveiling of the new slogan is in conjunction with the creation of a new tourism promotional fund which initially will be used to help transform Phuket in to a world class destination, the government said in a statement.
The fund will be used not only to help promote tourism regions throughout Thailand but also help grow the country’s tourism sector and help to cut back on bureaucracy and red tape.
The new slogan follows on Thailand’s hugely successful ‘Amazing Thailand’ slogan which the Thai government, including the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), has used to promote Thailand internationally for more than two decades.
In recent years TAT has tried various alternative slogans, such as “Discover Thainess” and “Miracle Thailand”, neither of which were nearly as memorable nor proved to be as successful.
Spin offs of Amazing Thailand, such as “Amazing Thailand, The Healthy Journey” have been used in specific promotional campaigns.
However, it is the “Amazing Thailand” slogan which will forever be linked to the country’s tourism industry.
