The Management Team and Staff of the Hotel de la Paix recently welcomed students from Petchburi Vocational College to a special learning experience at Cha Am’s chic designer retreat.
Sixty students visited the hotel to gain valuable insight into the hotel and hospitality industry. During the day the students received informative presentations from managers and staff and were escorted on an orientation of the hotel and all its facilities. A sumptuous lunch was also provided, before a fun hotel & hospitality quiz rounded off the day.
Nigel Tovey, General Manager, commented that this was many of the students’ first glimpse into the real workings of a luxury 5 Star hotel. “Hopefully this will provide the motivation for many of the students to aim for a highly rewarding career in one of the best profession there is,” he added. Local universities and vocational colleges play a vital part of the growth of the hotel industry and tourism in Thailand and Hotel De la Paix is proud to actively support the development local students.
