The rollout of the COVID-19 vaccinations to people in Thailand now appears to be gathering significant momentum.
The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has revealed that on Friday (Aug 27), almost one million people received a COVID-19 jab in a single day.
The CCSA said that 915,738 vaccine doses were administered on Friday, representing the highest number of vaccines administered in a 24 hour period since Thailand’s inoculation campaign began on February 28th.
As of Sunday (Aug 29) a total of 30,420,507 vaccine doses have been administered in Thailand.
Of those, 22,617,701 have received one dose, while 7,221,368 have received two doses. 581,438 people have also received a third dose.
Locally, health officials last week also made significant progress in the administering of vaccines to people in Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Between Aug 20 and 28 almost 47,000 people were vaccinated throughout the province.
As of Aug 28, a total of 244,086 people had received a COVID-19 vaccine in Prachuap Khiri Khan. Of those, 167,206 have received one dose, 71,784 two doses and 5,095 three doses.
The news comes as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recently confirmed it is now possible for expats in Hua Hin to register for the Pfizer vaccine.
