Annual Rotary Night Ball 2013 1

The “Ratree Rotary Ball 2013” is the annual Charity Event of the Hua Hin Rotary Club.  This will be at the Queen Sirikit Memorial Park on the evening of 22nd November 2013.   A highlight will be music on stage performed by Four Singles, a famous band, well known from the past to present times. The band will perform both Thai and international music  for the guests.  Rotary Club members and guests can enjoy classical Thai and ballroom dances.

The Rotary Club Chairperson Ms. Wannaporn Pinjinda and  Advisory Board’s Members Mr. Suwit Rienrungreung and Mr. Patiphan Maneethong have advised that tickets for this event are available at the Hua Hin Shopping Mall, Deerek Food Centre and the the Honda Showrooms.  A single ticket is 2,400 Baht and includes a table service dinner for groups of 8 persons. There are only 300 tickets on sale.

Ms. Wannaporn added that the charity night of this year would be the biggest since she was elected Chairperson in  2013.   She would like to wish all Members happiness for the New Year.

She commented that “in the 26 years since the establishment of the Club, we have seen a lot of progress with great social contributions, projects and policies from both Rotary Clubs in Thailand and international bodies. Projects of the Hua Hin Rotary Club have included the construction of new buildings, new waiting areas for taxis and public transport, building dams, reforestation, encouraging students to join an environmental campaign on mangrove forest preservation, giving local people of Hua Hin professional training, sending Thai students overseas to stay with foreign families and giving scholarships to Thai students.  All of those projects rely on the Club’s budget and other supporters, particularly the Bunrawd Brewery Public Company Limited and public organisations in Hua Hin.”

All proceeds from the ticket sales will be used for future campaigns, programs and activities for local schools, communities and other sectors in need.

Ms. Wannaporn also commented on UNICEF in America being concerned about the disabled in Thailand.  They have given the Rotary Club of District 3330 some wheelchairs and the Rotary Club of Hua Hin has received 35 of them. The disabled or their relatives living in Hua Hin can contact the the Club to request a free wheelchair.
