Eight million students and 400,000 teachers across Thailand now have access to Office 365 for education, giving them the ability to create, connect and collaborate on an advanced and enterprise-ready cloud platform that is safe and secured. Thanks to Microsoft Thailand and the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), a five-year agreement to address the nation’s top priority — creating a skilled workforce by improving education — has been made to give students and teachers access to Microsoft Office 365 for education.
Commitments to continue key partnerships with Partners in Learning, a global Microsoft program that fosters innovative use of technology in education to help students and teachers around the world maximize their potential, and Microsoft YouthSpark, a companywide global commitment to provide young people with opportunities for education, employment and entrepreneurship, will ensure that students and teachers will benefit from Microsoft’s academic and technical resources. By taking one step at a time, this announcement demonstrates positive momentum for Microsoft in Education’s journey that is helping to create a better future for young people around the world, one that is globally connected and economically sustainable.
