A bear owner is being questioned by police after he left his carnivorous pet tied to a lamp post while he went drinking. The unnamed Spanish man was due to take part in the annual festival in Carcer, near Valencia, with his furry friend the next day, but a hailstorm forced the event to be cancelled. Instead of heading home with his fourlegged companion, the owner opted to enjoy the local culture by having a few bevvies… and took his bear along for the ride.
After the animal was unsurprisingly denied entry indoors, he was left to be soaked in the storm outside. Local people, who are more used to seeing dogs tied to lamp posts outside of bars, were quick to take photos of the unusual visitor and report it to the local authorities. Organisers have condemned the actions of the unnamed drinker and say they will be contacting him for an explanation.
