THE MAX-CARA
The number one thing to do to adopt this trend is to overload your mascara. Do not hesitate to apply multiple coats. First apply mascara in two layers. Then with a cleaned brush from old mascara or a toothbrush, remove the excess mascara immediately. Don’t wait for the mascara to dry; otherwise it will only crumble. Then move to the next eye and repeat the process. To help get this Maxi-Volume effect, start with puffed bases. Dust baby powder over your eyelashes between the first and second coats of mascara to plump up your lashes. Baby powder has grip, so it will stick to your lashes in between each coat of mascara, making your lashes appear more voluminous. Cheat with white fibres. It is like applying hair extensions on your lashes. How?, with fibre as a base before mascara. The best brands for this are: Catrice – “Lashes to kill”- Lash extension fibres – 245BHT, L’Oreal – “False lashes butterfly” (with fibres). or “Double Extension” (with fibres) – 449BHT, Maybelline – “The Magnum” – or “The Rocket Volume” – 249BHT. You can find them in Boots and Watsons stores.
Some good tips to follow:
To maintain your eyelashes there are some things to know to maintain vigour, strength and therefore their length. Limit wearing waterproof mascara. This is often aggressive and too “sticky” for your lashes. Let them breathe and use waterproof only in the summer or for specific occasions. The rest of the time classic mascara will do. Cleanse your lashes with oil (it can be olive or coconut oil) or with a two-phase makeup remover. An eyelash curler or heated eyelash curler may be nice to curl, but it tends to break the lashes. It’s the same as waterproof mascara; it can be used but only sometimes!
Tricks About Mascara:
1. Layer waterproof mascara on top of your regular formula to make your mascara last longer and look thicker. It also makes it easier to remove at the end of the day.
2. Soak your mascara tube in a cup of hot water to make the formula more liquid, thinner and easier to apply.
3. If you’re down to the bottom of your mascara tube and it hasn’t reached its three-month expiration date (you should always toss your mascara after three months to prevent any eye infections), add a few drops of contact lens solution to a mascara tube to re-wet flaky formula.
4. Heat your eyelash curler with a blow-dryer so your lashes curl more easily and hold the shape longer.
Secrets Behind Having Long Beautiful
Eye Lashes. Green tea: Add green tea leaves to warm water and then apply it to your eye lashes. This promotes healthy lash growth and makes them longer, thicker and stronger. Petroleum Jelly (or better known as vaseline): If applied to your lashes regularly at night, it helps your lashes to grow faster and makes them thicker and stronger. Castor oil, Olive oil, Vitamin E oil, Almond Oil: All these natural oils help the growth of your lashes due to their strengthening properties. Apply the oil using a brush every night before bed. Don’t forget to apply to eyelashes completely cleansed; otherwise the oil will not work. It takes about two months for the results, but they will be come. Good news! It works for eyelashes and hair (but the amount used for the hair will be much more). But you have to do one thing; please never ever forget to go to bed without removing makeup from your eyes. Remove eye makeup using olive oil or any other eye makeup remover. This is very important for the growth of your lashes.
HAIR DON’T CARE
Blue Hues After the wave of pink last spring and purple more recently during summer, people continue to explore rainbow colours for their hair. The new colour trend for this fall is none other than blue; but is it easy to wear? After spending the spring with purple hair, Nicole Richie turned blue. Is she the one who introduced the trends in hair colour or is she simply following others? To stand out and try to emerge from the strong personalities of the Kardashian family, Kylie Jenner has relied on her hair colouring (tie & dye). Lance Bass, from the former NSync group proves that the colour blue is not only for women. On short hair the result seems a little strange, but why not. At first blue might seem like such an odd colour to try out, but after seeing it from the streets to the catwalks, the look is really quite wearable. Blue really pops out from the natural colour and it can make an edgy hot hair trend.
