A Chinese inventor has developed a rechargeable scooter with a suitcase which helps in transporting his belongings and himself. Equipped with a GPS navigator, a burglar alarm and a horn, this seven kilogram vehicle can carry two adults and travel with a speed of 20 kilometres per hour for a distance of 50 to 60 kilometres on a full charge. He Liangcai, who recently obtained a patent for this invention, said he spent over 10 years to create the “urban scooter”. He suggests such a device can also be used for in city travel.

The vehicle consists of a stripped down electric scooter embedded into the suitcase. The rider strides the rectangular luggage and grabs handlebars that control the throttle, breaks and lights. Liangcai, originally a farmer, said he got the idea when he forgot his luggage on his way to accept an award for an innovative car safety system in the US.
