According to Coco Chanel, “The best colour in the world is the one that looks good on you.” But how are you supposed to know which colours look best if you’re always wearing black? It’s time to shake off your bright shade and embrace a bolder and vibrant look in 2015. Read on for our tips on how work colour into your look the easy way

Trade-in basic black for a different neutral.
I’m not banning the colour black, it’s one of my favorites and makes a chic base to any outfit. If you wear black because you can’t think of anything else to wear, then you need to find a new neutral. I’m a fan of navy blue or nude tones lately, but gray and brown are good options too.

Wear a neon shoe.
This is one of my favourite ways to wear colour lately. I just bought a pair of bright red pointy toes from Charlie & Keith in Bangkok and have been wearing them every chance I get. The great thing about bright shoes is that they brighten up even the most boring outfit. Red shoes with a little black dress or hot pink heels paired with jeans and a top – either way, you can’t go wrong.

Add a bright handbag.
Bright bags also a hot trend and another simple way to make your outfit more colourful. While black and brown handbags are super popular because they “go with everything”, bright ones are just as versatile! The trick to picking the right colourful bag? Make sure the shade will match well with the rest of your wardrobe. A cobalt blue purse would be perfect if you wear lots of cool colours like gray and lavender, while a yellow bag would be a great choice if you normally rock shades of brown and other warm tones.

Wear a multi colored outfit.
If you’re totally clueless when it comes to putting colours together, colour locking has no rules nowadays. Just pair your frock with neutral shoes and a coordinating bag. Take a look at the pic below, and you won’t have to worry about mismatching. Look after all; it works!!
Sport colourful accessories.
Add a pop of colour with sunglasses. Or explore other colourful accessories, like a bright bag or an eye-catching bracelet.

Just have fun!
My final tip is to use colour to express your personality and add some fun to your look. Even if you don’t match perfectly, at the end of the day, it’s just fashion.
